Senior Project Geologist

Minimum Requirements

  • 7 years experience with 5 years being in Exploration. 
  • Must have a relevant postgraduate qualification (Bsc Hons).
  • Multi commodity exploration experience throughout Africa and elsewhere

Job Specification

  • On site and office based management of one or more exploration programmes - This includes project, technical, personnel, health and safety and QC management. 
  • Time will be spent liaising with clients, preparing programmes, proposals and technical reviews. 
  • Comprehensive reporting of technical and financial information regarding exploration programmes.
  • Proposal writing, mentoring. 
  • Networking and raising the profile of company internally and externally.
  • Excellent technical ability
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong review and report writing skills
  • Excellent Project Management Good Planning & Implementation
  • Strong Interpersonal Skills
  • Good Mentoring and coaching skills
  • Excellent communication skills. 
  • Good working knowledge of pertinent legislation and practice: Mineral laws, Labour laws, Company and tax law, JSE listing regulations, SAMREC code.
