Technical Writer - 6 month contract with extension potential

Leading international mining company in the Upper Hunter Valley
Showcase your technical writing skills in the engineering space
Work in a progressive company that values innovation

An opportunity has emerged for a technical writer to join in working with this international mining powerhouse.

To be considered eligible for this role, you must be degree qualified in engineering (ie. Bachelor of Engineering in any discipline) and you will have at least three years experience authoring content for large documents and projects in an engineering, mining or materials handling environment. Ideally you will be an established engineer and technical writer moving onto your next assignment, or a mining engineer with writing experience looking for a different challenge in your career.

As a systems and infrastructure person, you will have a sound track record in the five phases of technical writing such as:
• Information gathering and planning
• Content specification
• Content development and implementation
• Production
• Evaluation

In accordance with our Client’s Fatigue Management Policy, you must be willing to live in the Upper Hunter Valley during the week – please note that this is not a fly-in, fly-out position.

In addition, you must be able to demonstrate your commitment to living by current safety principles in both your workplace and private life.

Your communication skills, both verbal and oral, will be considered outstanding and exceptional to your peers, and your ability to capture information across a broad range of staff and stakeholders will be evident.
Your enthusiasm, initiative and commitment to success will be your key to success.
