Job Description
- Reporting to the Director of Environmental Market Development, the candidate will assist with the planning, execution, and results monitoring of highly effective marketing programs for North America. The position will primarily be responsible for generating customer demand and qualified sales opportunities along with developing marketing collateral with applications and solutions focused messaging.
- Lead generating initiatives for revenue growth and profitability are comprised of promotional campaigns, customer events (such as seminars and workshops), eMarketing and advertising campaigns, web and newsletter based campaigns, nurturing initiatives, and customer appreciation activities, and more. The candidate will partner and work closely with marketing staff, product management, market development, applications, and marketing communications. A strong technical back ground is a must. This position requires strong writing and public speaking skills to drive market demand. The candidate is expected to be a market expert and clearly know the applications required today and in the future. Development activities include interfacing with market leaders as well as regulatory agencies, knowledge of market size and growth possibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and plan lead generating programs, define customer target segments, provide and execute implementation concepts, and align with product introductions and marketing needs for released and in-shelf products
- Partner with Regional Sales and CoE as well as regional and local Marketing Communication staff for effective implementation, execution, and monitoring, and coordinate program with regional and local sales programs.
- Plan and execute demand generating programs using Marketing Communication Tools (e.g. Promotion using collateral, eMarketing, public site, PR etc.) and Event Programs for Sales and Support.
- Monitor successful execution and implementation via Marketing Metrics and evaluate high quality lead generation; plan corrective action assuring demand generation goals of marketing to meet business targets.
- Monitor and analyze related competitive information, market research, and customer data to facilitate effective program development, and develop competitive course of actions.
- Travel = >30% of the time
Qualifications:
- BS/MS degree in chemistry or equivalent, must have strong chromatography expertise
- High expertise in chromatography marketing with customer focus
- Experience with analytical instrumentation with technical depth and application
- Experience designing/ executing programs and campaigns
- Significant marketing experience in relationship marketing, retention, and loyalty strategies
- Demonstrated skills in teamwork and collaboration
- Must have excellent oral and written communication skills
- Track record of success in ability to effectively work and manage projects with global impact
- Results-oriented through data-driven performance
- Ability to face and cope with resilience during implementation and design of marketing processes and global principles.
