CEI Engineering Technician / Inspector
Must have:
- FDOT CTQP / ACI Concrete level I Certification
- FDOT CTQP Paving level I & II Certification
- FDOT CTQP Earthwork Level I
- Working knowledge of FDOT Standard Specifications and Indexes
Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
- Engineering Technician I/II - Performs routine tests under direct supervision.
- Performs material testing and inspections as assigned, including soil, concrete and asphalt.
- Performs field tests in accordance with established procedures
- Calculates test results
- Gathers and maintains data records
- Works closely with other Technicians/Inspectors and Contractors
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- MOT level 1- optional (will provide if necessary)
- Must pass drug test, background check and a Motor Vehicle Driving Record check.
- Other FDOT certifications a plus
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred but not required
- Long term project in the Florida Keys - the ability to relocate is a plus
Physical Demands:
- Primarily field work, long term standing work outside on construction sites.
- Push loaded wheel barrow.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
