Senior Geophysicist / Project Manager

  • Scope, budget, perform, manage, and provide quality review for surface geophysical investigations.
  • Specify and apply company-owned or rented instrumentation to characterize subsurface geology, locate utilities and tanks and other metallic objects, delineate contaminant plumes and perform other investigations using ground penetrating radar (GPR), electromagnetic induction using Geonics EM-31, 34, and 61, electrical resistivity, line tracing equipment, and magnetics.  Regular participation in environmental assessment/investigations that require an understanding of surface and subsurface environmental conditions and the processes used to evaluate the environmental condition of property.  A general understanding of how current and historic site operations can contaminate property is required.

Requirements:             

  • 15+ years applicable professional experience;
  • BS or MS in geology, PG preferred
  • Must be knowledgeable in statistical techniques and the application of tools for the interpretation and visual representation of data and be able to provide clear and concise reports describing the work completed and findings thereof and recommendations for additional studies, if needed
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience performing Phase I ASTM E-1527-05 and Phase II environmental site assessments is also required.
  • Business development and client contacts and client interactions skills required.
  • Must be able to manage simultaneous projects.
  • 40-hr HAZWOPER training preferred.
  • Some travel will be required.
