Entry Level Geotechnical Engineer

  • BS/MS in Civil Engineering specializing in Geotechnical Engineering. Master‘s degree is preferred.
  • Experienced candidate should have related work with geotechnical analyses and construction materials testing.
  • Effective verbal and technical writing skills preferred.
  • Candidate will perform assignments under the direction and supervision of a Senior Geotechnical Engineer.
  • Geotechnical project assignments will include geotechnical subsurface investigations related to site civil and landfill design (building foundations, cut and fill slopes, retaining walls, and pavements), as well as management of construction materials testing services for commercial and landfill projects.
  • Typical geotechnical subsurface investigation project duties will include coordination or monitoring subsurface drilling, obtaining soil and rock samples, preparing boring logs, developing laboratory testing programs, interpreting laboratory data, performing geotechnical analyses, and report preparation.
  • Typical construction materials testing project duties will include management, coordination, supervision, review and direction of technician staff for earthwork, concrete, foundation, masonry and pavement construction testing
