Superintendent
Position Summary:
- Responsible for the effective day to day management of a 4M+ TPY limestone quarry. Provide strong leadership to manage and develop all employees. Responsibilities include management of production/operations, maintenance, safety, environmental, and other areas. Assist the Plant Manager with financial aspects of the business, as necessary.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Mining or Civil Engineering, or equivalent experience required
- 3+ years of industry experience in an operations management role (Supervisor, Superintendent, or Plant Manager)
- Solid experience in mine planning and with blasting operations
- Solid working knowledge, technical knowledge and understanding of mining equipment and processes to include pit, plant, and mobile equipment
- Excellent leadership skills - demonstrated ability to lead, manage, and motivate a team; steadfast personal commitment to safety, and ability to lead a team toward continuous improvement in safety processes and behaviors
- Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook; experience with AutoCAD, AggFlow, and Project Management a plus
- Working understanding of financials a plus
- Willing to work flexible schedule, including some nights and weekends
