Lead Commissioning Engineer
Lead Commissioning Engineer’s responsibilities:
• Leads a broad range of hook-up and commissioning work.
• Provides engineering assistance to engineering team, construction superintendent, directs assigned personnel in meeting cost and time schedules, verifies materials, equipment, and quality and assures results meet project requirements.
• Coordinating related discipline activities and interfacing with other areas/disciplines on the jobsite.
• Performs the duties as Project Field Engineer or Project Field Quality Control Engineer coordinating activities related to the operation of the assigned Hook-Up and Commissioning activities.
• Fully responsible for detailing and sequencing of all offshore hook-up and commissioning activities efficiently making certain that all activities planned are be carried out safely/HSSE compliance and within schedule.
• Accomplished and understand fully offshore construction methodology and level 4/5 planning with reference to Company’s HSSE, shutdown, Site Specific Procedure and Simultaneous Operation (SIMOP) requirements.
• Able to initiate and lead review sessions on work packs produced by Hook-Up and Commissioning contractors. This shall be coordinated closely with the Operations Engineer from OCS, project discipline/field engineers.
• Coordinate and provide input during Hazard identification, site specific procedure and simultaneous operation (SIMOP) preparation.
• Able to work closely with operations to organise all IPOP’s leading to offshore execution activities.
• Adaptable and familiar with working on Brownfield projects for CLIENT/CLIENT/CLIENT. Understands fully and familiar with the constraints, implications and challenges of executing work on a live/operating complex both during non-shutdown and shutdown environment.
Qualification/Trade:
Qualifications and Experience:
• Minimum Degree in Engineering discipline or equivalent.
• Must have a minimum of 15 years of working experience in oil and gas industries.
• Must have a minimum of 10 years experience leading a multi discipline project site team in Offshore Hook- up and commissioning (HUC) Works.
• Must have a minimum of 10 years with Brownfield project such as carry out various change-outs of major platform equipments and topsides maintenance work.
• Must have at least 5 years Operation experience either as field operation engineer or supervisor.
• Must have experience in preparing, reviews and approvals of workpack, pre commissioning test pack, heavy lifting / erection, hydro testing, able to prepare isolation plan, re instatement procedures, review and approval for the CPN (critical path network) activities, preparation of a level 3 bar chart and level 4 job cards.
• Shall be familiar with SIMOPS (Simultaneous Maintenance Operations & Production) and SSP execution or equivalent.
• Shall have experience in work execution optimization, dividing the work between a site team and barge/ workboat activities.
• Shall have the experience in managing and ensuring HSSE compliance, which include driving Company’s safety rules and policies, exercising and promoting the use of accident control technique, implementing accident investigation procedures and so on.
• Must have proven track record on Job Hazard Analysis (or equivalent) and Risk Assessment.
• Must be flexible with project requirements and must be culturally aware in order to work efficiently with all necessary nationalities in order to get the best of each person and safety motivated.
• Must be influential and able to communicate at all levels of the organisation instilling safety culture within the entire workforce.
• Ability to demonstrate and provide leadership role to other team workers with a positive approach and open attitude.
• Ability to interact with multi discipline construction workers with minimum supervision
• Effective communication, interpersonal and leadership/influencing skills. Computer literate and proficient in Ms Office.
