Senior Production Engineer

Position Summary:

The Senior Production Engineer to support our client's unconventional asset plays.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Involvement in aggressive field development plans with a large number of drilling and completion activities
  • Analyze and optimize performance of horizontal, multi-frac wells including those involved in a field trial program
  • Take ownership of the quality control and optimization efforts of extraction optimization tools
  • Take ownership of the water chemistry issues
  • Work closely with the surveillance organization and provide input to water resources management and the water resources management plan
  • Provide input to pilot design and interpretation
  • Technical coach to other production technologists and technical resource to non petroleum technology discipline colleagues within the Asset and Wells teams
  • Implement industry best practices and exchange of learning with other similar unconventional gas assets

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science and/or Master of Science in Petroleum Engineering or equivalent field of study
  • 10 + years extensive experience
  • Identification of opportunities for cost savings and reducing HSE risks 
  • Demonstrated background or familiarity with production chemistry
  • Experience with project planning and identification of HSE risks
  • Available for occasional travel to the field
