Safety Advisor - Copper/Gold

My client is seeking an experienced Safety Advisor for its new project, an emerging Australian mining company which is exploring and developing the world-class Copper-Gold Project in Australia, as well as a portfolio of prospective base metal, iron ore, manganese and gold projects.

This is an exciting opportunity for you to be involved with taking a brand new discovery through development and into operation. As Safety Advisor you will be responsible for providing advice and services to the workforce in the application of OHS processes and practices for all site activities including construction, surface drilling and mining.

Key objectives of this position include but are not limited to:
  • Promote and support a positive safety culture throughout the workforce; 
  • Support the development and implementation of the OHS&T Management systems; 
  • Ensure effective OHS communications are maintained across all areas including contractors. 
To be considered for this dynamic role you will have underground experience, Cert IV in Occupational Health and Safety and experience in emergency response training would be advantageous.
