An opportunity exists for an Afternoon-shift Industrial Electrician in a high speed food manufacturing environment. This organization is a long established food production entity that prides itself on a high quality of produce to meet global standards.
This position reports directly to the maintenance manager and is responsible for attending plant and equipment breakdowns, completing scheduled routine preventative maintenance and providing technical assistance within a continuous improvement environment to optimise plant availability, product quality and equipment reliability.
Key responsibilities include:
- Ensuring the workplace is safe and compliant to all OHS&E regulations and standards
- Carrying out of planned and unplanned maintenance tasks
- Discussing equipment needs and fostering relationships with operators
- Inspections and condition monitoring of equipment to identify maintenance needs
- Updating and creating work orders in the Computer Maintenance Management System
Skills
Advanced Fault finding using PLC controlled manufacturing equipment
Understand importance of preventative maintenance
Able and willing to work as part of a small team on afternoon shift
Computerised maintenance management systems experience
To be successful in this role, you will have trade qualifications and QLD electrical license. The successful applicant will also have a sound knowledge of plant safety requirements together with high speed packaging experience. Computer literacy, including CMMS experience is advantageous.
