Senior Environmental Scientist/Consultant

  • Great Consultancy
  • Career Progression
  • Attractive Package
Eco Recruitment is a specialist recruitment company with a niche focus on the sustainability, water, design and environmental sectors. We aim to source high calibre professional candidates for our clients and interesting and environmentally sound opportunities for candidates.

My client is an esteemed leader in the exciting field of geological and environmental consulting services for the quarrying, mining, construction and waste industries. This consultancy has numerous high profile clients among Australia's leading mining and quarrying companies, not to mention a number of emerging key players. They are an organisation who are not looking at becoming the next big faceless corporate where you're employee number 473. They are a medium sized family owned consultancy and they would like to keep it that way. With that in mind and extremely low staff turnover, it's not often they are looking for people but when they do they come to us!

Your role will be to provide technical advice, reporting and stakeholder liaison on environmental issues for a range of mining and heavy industry clients.

To be considered for this role you will have:
  • A high level of ability for technical writing and peer review.
  • Extensive skills to interpret environmental data of various genres.
  • The ability to review and edit reports from external consultants.
  • Excellent organisational skills coupled with the ability to manage a range of projects within specified timeframes.
  • Tertiary degree / qualification in a relevant discipline.
  • A minimum of 5 years mining experience.

Ideally the successful candidate will have a variety of client and consultancy based experience in the mining sector. In return for your skills and experience you will be offered an attractive salary, an amazing work environment with a great team in tight knit supportive atmosphere. This role is based in a picturesque area just north of Sydney and this should be taken into consideration before applying.
