Our client is a leading Australian engineering and project delivery company operating primarily in the Mining and Minerals, Hydrocarbons, Infrastructure and Specialist industries. They offer solutions for Brownfield and Greenfield projects from conceptual design to operations, and asset management and completion services.
Due to growth, development and ongoing work, they are currently seeking a highly experienced Commercial Manager from the Mining and Resource industries, to join this reputable Engineering Firm.
We are looking for candidates who have demonstrable skills in contracts administration and commercial negotiations and who are able to display;
Minimum eight years’ experience in a similar role
Mining industry experience is essential
Extensive experience in contracts management
A relevant tertiary educational qualification preferably in engineering, procurement or business management, or construction management is required
Good business acumen and commercial awareness
Experience within a large organisation, either on the Contractor side or with the Client
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
Good negotiations skills and be proactive
Outstanding computer skills
Making part of the Corporate Management team, this is a very autonomous and your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to;
- Reviewal of all contracts large and small
- Internal contractual negotiations
- Working with the in house legal and risk teams
- Registering all contracts
- Overseeing subcontractors
- Reporting to the in house lawyer
