About the Company: Our client is an Australian-based, international construction company.

About the Role: As a Planner your duties will include assisting in establishing procedures, undertaking the planning & scheduling activities and works to established procedures and plans. 

Responsibilities of the Planner: As a Planner your duties will include assisting in establishing procedures, undertaking the planning & scheduling activities and works to established procedures and plans.

• Preparing Rail project plans & schedules. 
• Prepare reports for project resource and commodity curves, man-power histograms and productivity/production reviews 
• Evaluate and report schedule deviations. 
• Reviews vendor/contractor schedules. 
• Prepares, maintains & reports status on all types of schedules and progress curves. 
• Establishes milestones. 
• Ensures project work breakdown structures are reflected in the project schedule. 
• Participates in vendor/contractor bid review. 
• Proactively assist in the management of the overall project delivery

Requirements for Planner role: The successful applicant will have previous experience in Rail scheduling software / processes and will have the ability to work within clearly defined procedures to prepare accurate and timely deliverables. You will also need to be degree qualified with at least 7-10 years planning experience inclusive of 5 years Project Planning, with construction experience preferred. In addition to this our client is also looking for the following attributes: 

• Spreadsheet and database skills. 
• Good time management skills and the ability to prioritise. 
• Results orientated and self-starter. 
• Able to communicate effectively with people at all levels in the organisation. 
• Able to maintain composure under all circumstances. 
• At least 7 years advanced Primavera Planning software experience essential 
• Primavera Risk Manager or equivalent is preferred
