The role
Join this national company who provides technical solutions and superb service to their customers. Reporting to the Sales and Marketing Manager - you will take responsibility for the Northern region, Queensland, Bowen Basin and Alpha Basin from their Mackay branch.

This role has been created due to the current long- servicing employee planning to retire in the near future, and thus the successful incumbent will be receive a full hand-over and be taking over a successful and profitable territory. 

You will service mining and heavy Engineering across various industries. Your responsibilities include managing your P&L, developing and presenting budgets, managing suppliers and most importantly, establishing relationships with key customers and driving the businesses growth. Your ability to work autonomously and with decisiveness is critical to your success. You will be working in a remote location, which requires a strong and experienced business manager or a driven new comer, looking to prove themselves as a leader and sales developer. 

Skills and requirements
This role requires an outstanding candidate with the following skills and experience:
• Excellent communication skills 
• Business acumen 
• Setting and presenting budgets 
• Mechanical Engineering or Trade qualifications preferred 
• Mining industry exposure 
• Leadership and people management skills or ability to gain 
• P&L experience 
• Computer literacy
