Sectional Surveyor

Remarkable Mining venture has an outstanding position open for a Sectional Surveyor.

The mine is one of the largest open pit operations in Southern Africa with a life of mine in excess of 20 years. The mine is looking for highly educated, motivated and dedicated individuals who would like to grow and develop with the mine. The ideal candidate should have good communication skills in a competitive environment, a strong desire to learn new skills, be able to work independently as well as part of a team and enjoy high stress production environments.

Requirements:

• Matric / Grade 12 certificate
• National Diploma / B.Tech / NHD:MRM / C.O.M. Advanced Mine Surveying and Valuation Certificates
• Up to 5 years Operational Mine surveying experience
• Underground and Surface Surveying Experience
• Valid code 08 driver’s license
• Knowledge of CAD systems
• Knowledge of GPS and Scanners
• Studying / intending to study for Mine Surveyor’s Government Certificate of Competency
• Knowledge of survey computer programs Red ticket
• Surveying services
• Effective and accurate services by executing preparatory duties and surveys
• Assist and guide Surveyors in problem solving
• Administration and data control
• Maintenance and storage of surveying data
• Customer relations
• Maintain internal and external relations, including the interface with external providers responsible to Ensure departmental needs are met and employees are satisfied.
• Provide relevant and specialized technical support to applicable stakeholders
• People management
• Manage own team’s performance
• Manage employee relations
• Train and develop employees

• Enhance safety awareness throughout working area.
• Ensure working area and equipment is clean and safe at all times and in good working condition.
• Ensure and comply with safety standards guidelines, policies and procedures
