Minimum Requirements

  • Relevant Degree/Diploma
  • 2-5 years previous buying experience within a manufacturing industry
  • Computer Literate in MS Office
  • Stron planning and organizational skills
  • Ability to display initiative
  • Team player
  • Drivers Licence

Job Specification

  • Due to rapid expansion, this International manufacturing company supplying to the mining industry, is seeking a suitably qualified Buyer for their offices based in Alrode, Alberton. 
  • Matric, relevant Degree/Diploma and a minimum of 2 years previous buying experience within a Manufacturing industry essential. 
  • Duties include securing and analysing Quotations, negotiating of prices and  terms, purchasing of goods, materials and services, sourcing from overseas suppliers, processing of the appropriate documentation, developing new sources of supply and arranging for testing of products. 
  • Excellent telephone etiquette and a professional personal presentation is required. 
  • Must be able to work under pressure, prioritise and work with a sense of urgency. 
  • Customer service orientated and high attention to detail. 
  • PC literate in MS Office. 
  • Will be required to work independently, but as part of a team. 
  • Valid drivers licence essential.
