Sectional Surveyor

Seeking a Sectional Surveyor to join the team of a well-known mining company in Mpumalanga (Barberton/Nelspruit)

Minimum Requirements

The Following Qualifications And Experience Are Essential:

  • Grade 12
  • National Diploma / B.Tech / NHD:MRM / C.O.M. Advanced Mine Surveying and Valuation Certificates
  • Up to 5 years Operational Mine surveying  experience
  • Underground and Surface Surveying Experience
  • Valid code 08 driver’s license

The Following Qualifications And Experience  Would Be Advantageous Or Optional:

  • Knowledge of CAD systems
  • Knowledge of GPS and Scanners
  • Studying / Intending to study for Mine Surveyor’s Government Certificate of Competency

Surveying services: 

Effective and accurate services by executing preparatory duties and surveys.  Assist and guide Surveyors in problem solving.

Administration and data control: 

  • Maintenance and storage of surveying data.
Customer relations: 
  • Maintain internal and external relations, including the interface with external providers responsible to ensure departmental needs are met and employees are satisfied. 
  • Provide relevant and specialized technical support to applicable stakeholders.

People management:  

  • Manage own team’s performance. 
  • Recruit and select employees. 
  • Manage employee relations. 
  • Train and develop employees

SHREQ:

  • Enhance safety awareness throughout working area. 
  • Ensure working area and equipment is clean and safe at all times and in good working condition.  
  • Ensure and comply with safety standards guidelines, policies and procedures. 
  • PPE is worn during shift and safety rules and regulations adhered to.
  • Declaration of safe working place.
  • Oversee housekeeping principles are adhered to.
