Product Specialist - Support Contract

My client based in the Freestate is looking for a Product Specialist.

Minimum Requirements

  • Must be able to work underground
  • Qualified Artisan (section 13 or equivalent)
  • At least 5 years experience in underground Trackless Mining Applications
  • Excellent product knowledge on Tunnelling and Mining equipment as well as Loading equipment
  • Willing to do standby or be contacted for assistance after hours
  • Willing to work overtime when required
  • Willing to work shifts when required
  • Valid Code 08 license and reliable transport
  • Good report writing skills

Job Specification

  • Adhere to and comply with MHS Act Regulations and Target Mine H&S Standards
  • Support contract customer's equipment
  • Will be stationed underground as arranged with the Senior Foreman
  • Conduct monthly audits on all company equipment, ad hoc requests may arise
  • Follow up (expediting) of audits and orders
  • Ensure availability, reliability and operability targets are met
  • Ensure costs don't escalate beyond budgeted levels
  • Ensure quality scheduled services are done
  • Fault finding and trouble shooting
  • Technical assistance and coaching of customer technicians
  • Assess Technician and operator practices and submit reports after each audit
  • Monthly reports handed to the Senior Foreman, Mine Overseer and the Engineer
  • Conduct operator and maintenance coaching as and when required
  • Review all existing service schedules for the company equipment on the mine in cooperation with the planner
  • Do spot check type service over inspections on a weekly basis, report deviances to the Foreman, Senior Foreman and Engineer
