Site Quality Inspector II

Job Description

• Plan, schedule, coordinate and oversee small capital projects, maintenance projects and process unit turnarounds for a power plant.
• Provide technical and construction expertise on multi-discipline project teams.
• Interface with the client, engineering, craft personnel, subcontractors and vendors for the completion of projects.
• Order parts and materials.
• Write service requests for outside contractors and equipment rentals.
• Provide daily field oversight and oversee the coordination of all field construction activities.
• Provide craft supervision and assist the site Maintenance Manager as needed.
• Perform visual inspections.
• Work with inspection agencies to fulfill inspection requirements and interface with Authorized Inspectors on code repairs.
• Prepare repair packages for fixed equipment.
• Prepare hydro test packages and witness testing. Maintain [Company] quality manual, welding procedures and welder qualifications.
• Interface with client’s inspection and maintenance personnel.
• Assist [Company]Maintenance Manager when needed.
• Knowledgeable of ASME, API and NBIC code.

Basic Job Requirements

Experience working in operating power production facilities.

Must have experience inspecting boilers, turbines and tanks, and ability to work from scaffolds or sky climbers, as required.

Minimum 3-5 years’ experience as a QC Inspector.

Minimum 5 years’ experience in Power projects.

Must be certified as a Weld Inspector (CWI)

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of API 570 and 510 preferred Certified Weld Inspector preferred.
