Lead Warehouse Associate
Job Description:
- Position delegates and leads warehouse team on daily tasks.
- Position works with team to get daily tasks, and project tasks completed in a safe and timely manner.
- Knowledge of each of the functions below with the ability to teach others on each function.
Receiving:
- Part verification by matching part to packing slip and receiver report using descriptions and vendor part number. Ability to accurately count. Execute required computer transactions based on type of order, (RMA, PO, and Vendor Return).
- Unloading trucks and signing for parcel deliveries. Damage claims and proper damage checking at off load time.
- Stocking: Stocking parts received from vendors, or other methods.
- Parts must be stocked in the proper storeroom and location. Parts must be matched to paperwork.
Kitting:
- Kitting systems and sub-assemblies, and backflushing completed units.
- Includes pulling, verifying parts, and executing the associated computer transactions.
- Stores and location transfers:
- Properly identify, verify, and tag parts and do the related computer transaction.
- Miscellaneous issues and returns: Issue and return parts to various accounts, per paperwork provided.
- Ability to process various transactions.
- Ability to comprehend and execute part number conversions.
Job Requirements:
- High school graduate or equivalent. Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Lotus Notes.
Other Skills:
- Must be detail oriented, with careful attention to inventory accuracy.
- Must be able to cooperate with other employees, teams, and trainers.
- Must follow instructions of supervisor. Must be safety conscious.
- Must be willing to lead, manage, and implement change, including Lean methodology.
- Must be able to operate a chain hoist, floor jack, power drill, and forklift. Must be able to lift seventy pounds from floor to chest level, reach to six feet with hands while standing flat footed, and lift thirty pounds from floor to eye level.
