Maintenance Manager - Uncle Sam

  • We are currently seeking a Maintenance/Reliability Manager for our Uncle Sam, Louisiana location.  The purpose of this position is to manage and direct maintenance activities of the Uncle Sam facility.  Direct and manage reliability programs and improvements, requiring knowledge and understanding of current technology on predictive maintenance (PdM), preventive maintenance (PM), computerized maintenance management (CMMS) and reliability-based maintenance practices.  Manage the Maintenance Workflow process. Responsible for salaried, hourly and contract labor forces required to maintain the Uncle Sam facility.  Responsible for communicating on the status of compliance. Responsible for ensuring adequate training and development of area personnel. Responsible for conducting audits and ensuring completion of safety audits, lockout audits, housekeeping tours in accordance with Safety Performance Indicators and Environmental Index.
What will you do? 
  • Direct daily and long-term planning, workflow, predictive and preventive maintenance activities to improve asset health.
  • Train, develop, coach and motivate maintenance team to effectively deliver desired business results through a culture of high employee engagement, continuous improvement, world-class safety standards and continuous learning to enhance knowledge, skills and competence.  
  • Establish and manage yearly and long-term maintenance expense budget and site capital budget.
  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Position Requirements 
  • High School diploma or GED and 15 years of work experience required.
  • Bachelors in Engineering/ Technical discipline and 10 years of work experience highly preferred.
  • SMRP certification for Reliability Professional is desirable.
  • Working knowledge of vibration analysis, oil analysis, IR, UT, UE, MCE and RCFA are required.
  • Working knowledge of plant equipment is essential.
  • Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, CMMS, RCFA.
  • Good motivational, organizational and interpersonal skills.  
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of current technology on predictive maintenance, preventive maintenance, computerized maintenance management and reliability-based maintenance best practices.  
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
