Technical Lead - Oracle Apps DBA
Position Description/Criteria
- Responsible for all aspects of architecture, design implementation and management of Oracle based Systems. The Oracle Applications DBA technical lead needs to carry out a Strategic Technical lead role, as well as work as a DBA and architect.
- Technical coaching of Oracle Applications DBA team for all technical aspects of the role – Provide reactive support to incidents and problems. Take ownership of all issues and lead the team to resolve incidents and problems. Drive improvements of support processes for production and non-production (pro-active). Ensure team members are adhering to the architecture principles and standards. A superior work ethic is required.
- Plan and structure work towards objectives laid out in a structured work plan; ability to lead and direct a team toward the completion of identified work plans and objectives using Microsoft project.
- Be a liaison between the DBA team and the other Operations groups, Application Teams, and functional super users.
- Able to proficiently tune and troubleshooting Oracle Applications and Oracle database issues.
Position Requirements
- Minimum of 8 years IT experience with a minimum of 3 years Oracle Applications Technical Lead experience. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems, or equivalent work experience.
- Hands on experience with Oracle 12i Applications including; Financials, Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing, ASCP, and HRMS. Strong understanding of Oracle technology stack and architecture for 12i.
- Expert knowledge in R12 Oracle E-Business Suite Applications, Workflow, Adconfig, Patching, PCP and Redhat/Unix. Experience working with RAC/ASM, Oracle single-sign-on (SSO), Oracle Active Directory (OID), Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE) and Demantra.
- Excellent leadership skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
- Strong analytical, problem solving, interpersonal and communicational skills.
