Architectural Services Rep 2

Position Description/Criteria

• Maximize USG's  short and long term growth in sales volume, gross profit and industry position, with a particular focus on the ceilings business.
• Proactively develop relationships with architects, interior designers, spec writers, owners, construction managers and general contractors to increase preference and demand for USG products and systems. Network within the industry.
• Actively track projects in the early design stages to influence the specification. Maintain and regularly update a detailed list of projects where USG is/could be specified and share the information with the field sales team.
• Communicate and collaborate within the Architectural Services team and other USG departments and divisions. Support local field sales team and distribution partners. Team play is essential.
• Launch and promote target products and programs. Monitor competitive activity and strategically promote USG's offering.

Position Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business, Architecture or related field.
• Three year minimum of Architectural Sales experience. Technical expertise/aptitude. A continuous learner. AIA Certified. Ceilings I and II courses completed. LEED Accreditation preferred.
• Self-starter with strong organizational and problem solving abilities. Computer proficiency required.
• Proven ability to identify key decision makers and build relationships. A networker. Strong communication and presentation skills.
