Geotech Engineer

[Company] are currently assisting our client a Geotechnical Engineering Consultancy for the Offshore Industry in appointing an experienced Geotechnical Engineer for their office in Leeds.

The successful applicant will be an experienced geotechnical engineer with a proven track record of technical work and project delivery. Reporting directly to the General Manager you will develop a good proactive relationship with both internal and external clients.

Tasks & Responsibilities for the role include but not limited to:
• Report Writing
• Providing adhoc advice to clients
• Analysis
• Project Management
• Contract Management
• Supporting Business Development

Candidates should have:
• A strong academic background with a relevant degree geology/engineering and ideally MSc or equivalent.
• At or approaching Chartered status
• Proven experience of acting as a geotechnical engineer in a fast-moving engineering consultancy environment with offshore experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and technical skills
• Excellent communication skills and confidence to liaise with clients
• Good commercial track record in negotiating and running successful jobs
• Excellent report writing skills with the ability to self-check and produce accurate work
• A flair for innovation

Offshore experience or experience gained in ports & harbour or a marine engineer with a specialism in Geotechnics is essential for this role.
