Commercial Manager

Commercial ManagerFIFO Ex Perth to Port Hedland - 4/3, 8/6 roster

Reporting to the Group Manager - Finance, you will be responsible for giving support, guidance to onsite leaders with respect to cost control and commercial matters; compilation, reporting and analysis of the capital and operational budgets; overseeing  and administration of the enterprise systems and communications, contacts and contractual arrangements.

Specific accountabilities include;
  • Development and ongoing supervision and analysis of Hedland operational and capital budgets.
  • Training and support in cost control and commercial matters for site leaders.
  • Liaise with corporate in relation to standard policies and procedures, and other requirements.
  • Stewardship of IT enterprise systems and communications for the site.
  • Management of site purchasing and warehousing functions.
  • Supervision of contracts and contractual arrangements.
  • Development and ongoing compilation of reports as required
  • Active member of Hedland management team.
  • Oversight of commercial activities within the Commercial Team.
  • Champion cost management throughout the business.
  • Continual improvement of financial controls; finance business systems.
  • Development and production of budgets & forecasts.
Qualifications, skills and experience required:
  • Post graduate accounting qualification or progress towards (CPA or CA)
  • Previous experience in a Front line Commercial/Accounting role, preferably as a member of the management team.
  • Experience with reporting, systems development, cost management, administration of commercial arrangements and the development of cost management skills in others.
  • SAP or equivalent ERP experience.
