Lead Electrical Engineer

Are you an Enthusiastic and Experienced Lead Electrical Engineer or an Electrical Superintendent? 

Are you looking to work with an impressive global mining company? If this sounds like you, we have a fantastic opportunity located in the beautiful town of Emerald where you will be rewarded for doing your job.

Work for a Global Mining Giant that has this exciting new vacancy to work in their greenfield projects team as the Lead Electrical Engineer/EEM. In this role you will report to the Engineering Manager and will provide direction and leadership in the area of underground longwall coal mining projects. This role would be ideal for an Electrical Superintendent looking to make the next move in their career.

Responsibilities but not limited too:
  • The control and management of electrical work including design, construction, commissioning, operational readiness, start-up and maintenance planning for greenfield longwall mine.
  • Electrical aspects of project specifications, drawings and documents.
  • Building relationships with suppliers, contractors and consultants.
  • Overseeing the construction and operational activities to ensure that they meet statutory and regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
  • Must either hold a degree or diploma engineering qualification
  • Must have experience in longwall operations
  • Experience within projects of underground coal mines
  • Ideally experience working for an Owners Team
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience in leading a team of professionals
