The Opportunity 
An exciting opportunity for a Senior Environmental Officer to take on a key role within the company, responsible for carrying out environmental monitoring, reporting and rehabilitation activities in accordance with the Environmental Management Plan.

The role will be site based in the Pilbara region with a lifestyle friendly 8/6 roster and you will be reporting to the site based HSE Manager.
 
Your main responsibilities will include:

• Ensuring site compliance with regulatory requirements
• Conducting site inspections and Incident investigations
• Carrying out data gathering procedures in the field to monitor compliance of personnel and contractors with licence and environmental requirements
• Developing, implementing and reviewing plans and procedures as required by the site Environmental Management Plan
• Preparing internal and external compliance reports
• Encouraging appropriate environmental attitudes and practices amongst staff and contractors
• Developing and delivering environmental training to site personnel

The Person
To be successful in this role you will be tertiary qualified in Environmental Science or equivalent and have a demonstrated ability to communicate with people at all levels. You will have extensive experience gained in a similar role within the mining industry, as well as exceptional organisation, leadership and time management skills.
