We are representing one of Australia’s premier mining companies with multi-site operations across Australia. With a mandate for further strategic growth the organisation is now seeking an equally impressive internal audit specialist to join their group services team.

Job Description
Reporting to the Senior Manager Audit Australasia, the Specialist Internal Audit will be responsible for the following: 

• Risk based compliance audits as approved by the Group Audit committee
• Ensuring audit processes are conducted effectively and efficiently
• Evaluating the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls for various assets
• Identifying cost savings and operational improvement opportunities arising from audit engagements
• Travelling to and from site operations on a regular basis to complete audit engagements
• Participating in special investigations and ad hoc assignments

The Successful Applicant
We are seeking a CPA/CA qualified internal audit specialist who has significant experience gained in either a Big 4 chartered environment or large commercial organisation. The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience in internal audit within a complex organisation, ideally within the mining industry. In addition you will possess an ability to develop strong relationships with internal stakeholders as well as highly developed written skills.
