Pricing & Contracts Manager

Synopsis

Maintain and overview of all parts pricing for the company in SA, Botswana, Zambia and Ghana. Maintain Parts Cost Bars for all sites and entities as well as Mine Contracts.

Minimum Requirements

  • Matric / Grade 12 / N3 - essential
  • Tertiary qualification with a technical background - optional
  • Computer literacy -MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint - essential
  • Good oral and written communication skills - essential
  • Previos parts exp a huge advantage
  • Good Communication ability, at senior level to the Mining Houses, Dealers and major customers
  • High degree of attention to detail, accuracy and meeting deadlines
  • High level negotiating skills with suppliers
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of financial and accounting practices
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of the Rascal System

Description

  • Work towards and support all Company Strategic Objectives

Marketing Objectives

  • Communicate marketing objectives and philosophies to all business units
  • Assist, develop and implement appropriate marketing programmes to support the achievement of sales and profitability goals
  • Maximize the opportunities for Company

Parts Price Maintenance

  • Maintain the entire parts pricing function within the Rascal system:
  • Annual and periodic supplier price adjustments
  • Maintenance of various Price Lists and Nett Pricing
  • Work with other Marketing Managers to maintain appropriate margins for applicable Franchises
  • Regulation and control of Rascal pricing permissions
  • Assist Rascal Consultants with identifying, implementing and testing system requirements / changes
  • Develop and maintain pricing for Foreign Dealers and Customers covering direct and indirect supply and invoicing in both local and foreign currencies.

Parts Pricing Analysis

  • Carry out pricing studies, in conjunction with other Marketing Managers, to determine pricing strategies
  • Work closely with branches and business units to identify areas of concern / opportunities

Promotions and Special Pricing

  • Assist other Marketing Managers to develop pricing for kits, promotions and specials on an ongoing basis

Interaction with Logistics Department

  • Work in conjunction with Logistics Department to communicate marketing programmes and promotions and stock requirements
  • Advise Logistics of excess or obsolete stock and suggest ways of disposing thereof via “special sales” or the E&O Programme
  • Assist Logistics with forecasting requirements for Parts

Qualified Parts

  • Develop and maintain a Qualified Parts Business
  • Qualified Parts Business is not to compete with existing New or ReCon parts business
  • Purchase used parts at market related prices, to dismantle and create Qualified stock, ensuring that all purchase costs are recovered within the pricing logic
  • Manage Qualified parts pricing within the Rascal system
  • Manage and control stock obsolescence of all Qualified parts
  • Communicate Qualified objectives and philosophies to all business units
  • Mining Parts Contracts and Cost Bars
  • Update Cost Bar pricing for the Mining houses covering the Company's price adjustments, quarterly R/$ adjustments and monthly adjustments where appropriate
  • Functional Excellence, Control and Governance
  • Assist, where required, to ensure compliance with the Internal Compliance Review
  • Ensure all applicable EXCEL Requirements are adhered to and met
  • Safety
  • Take all reasonable & required precautions to protect the safety of all employees as well as visitors & other third parties
