Our clients, well renowned as a leading mining consultancy, and having an Africa wide footprint, seek to employ a Professional and well experienced Geologist to fulfil the role of Senior Resource Geologist, who will be involved primarily with the geological modelling and geostatistical estimation (2D & 3D) of various commodities, but largely Platinum and Gold.

Our client's consulting services encompass all disciplines within the mining industry, geology and resource estimation, mining engineering, metallurgy, mineral economics and mine financial evaluation, as well as compliance and corporate reporting.

This is a key role with leadership development and supervision of junior geologists.

In order to be considered, you should present an appropriate qualification and a minimum of five years’ experience, three of which should present a track record of exposure to South African mining conditions.

Key Performance Areas include:

• Data Validation and manipulation of Data.
• Classical descriptive Statistical Analysis.
• Geological Modelling.
• Wireframing to an advanced level.
• Undertake geostatistical estimation across a broad spectrum of commodities.
• Geostatistical techniques include kriging, indicator kriging, log-normal kriging, macro kriging, co-kriging, etc.
• Undertake 2D and 3D estimation.
• Undertake geostatistical development and implementation of new techniques.
• Mineral Resource classifications and implementing of reporting codes.
• Write up Due Diligences, Opinions and Appraisals.
• Compile technical reports for submittal to stock exchanges and authoritative bodies.
• Site visits.
• Assist in the training and development of junior geologists.
