Estimator : Mechanical & Structural Steel

Our client, Leaders in Infrastructure Development seek to employ Senior Estimator to perform Estimating functions on various projects within the Mining, Petrochemical, Power Generation and Manufacturing industries. The successful incumbent will be based at Head Office in Robertsham, Johannesburg.

Key Performance Areas:

  • Present Management with an accurate cost bid for the scope of work as indicated in an issued RFQ
  • Analyse the technical, commercial and logistical risks the company will be expected to and supply management with potential solutions to eliminate the identified risks
  • Compile a professional tender submission document
  • Confident participation in post tender negotiations
  • Achievement of agreed tender deadlines
  • Interpretation of Technical Requirements
  • Understanding of Contract Terms and Conditions

Qualifications:

  • Matric or equivalent qualification (with Maths) or Engineering degree or Technical diploma
  • Skills in MS Office
  • Experience as an Estimator in Mechanical and Structural Steel Piping estimating is Essential

  • Handle Stress well and ability to work under extreme pressure
  • Ability to install confidence in Management and make bold decisions
  • Salary R600-750 k pa excl bonus plus benefits
