The Opportunity
As one of the world’s largest mining and resource companies, our client has earned a reputation for taking a long-term and responsible approach towards all aspects of its business. Due to internal promotions and current expansion plans an opportunity has been created for an Environmental Superintendent to lead a well established team of senior and mid level environmental specialists.
The Role
Reporting to the Environmental Operations Manager you will take a lead role in managing the environmental programs across two major mining operations in WA. Currently underway is the planned construction of two additional neighboring mines which will fall within your remit once the operations commence.
Using your well developed organisational skills you will:
· Ensure the site meets regulatory compliance with environmental laws
· Support the continuous improvement of the EMS across all business areas
· Identify and mitigate environmental risk for the organisation
· Assist with approvals and consultant / contractor management
To be successful you will bring:
· Experience in compliance program management
· Experience in a construction environment
· Experience liaising with industry and government stakeholders
· Experience within a challenging mining operation
· Tertiary qualifications in a related discipline
