Recruitment Specialist

Functional Outputs:

  • Develop diverse pools of prospects through direct recruiting from various sources
  • Partner with the hiring managers to establish the recruiting plan
  • Be the subject matter expert in relation to applicable market place, newest sources for prospects, etc.
  • Apply Competency Based selection and screening criteria to assist the hiring manager in selecting a qualified diverse pool of prospects
  • Ensure that the recruitment process is in line with the LRA, EEA and supports the BBBEE strategy
  • Consult the business on all aspects of Selection
  • Utilize interview plans / guides, effective debriefing processes and closing strategies.
  • Lead and monitor the interview process to ensure feedback on candidates is appropriately considered for decision-making.
  • Act as the primary point of contact throughout the selection process.
  • Manage all administrative activities of the recruitment process.
  • Facilitate the on-boarding process of all new employees.

Requirements:

  • Matric or HR Qualification preferably
  • + 3 years working experience in Recruitment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to deal with people at all levels
  • Demonstrated knowledge of South African Labour Law, both legislative and statutory requirements.
  • PC Literacy on Ms Office, strong internet and web search skills, with recruitment data-base management skills
  • Influencing and decision making skills are essential
  • Exposure to recruiting for mines and a good understanding of the mining culture will be an advantage
