Minimum Requirements

Tertiary qualification in Mining  or related fields such as:

• Survey 
•  Mine planning 
• Mine Drafting
• High level of Computer Literacy
• Safety knowledge
• Mining Experience
• Mine Scheduling and Planning.

Job Specification

Major Task Headings:              

• Mining Design, Scheduling and Planning

Purpose of the Job

Support the Mining engineering and discipline project design activities relating to concept (OME), pre-feasibility (PCE), bankable feasibility (CBE), EPCM and Turnkey mining projects, and act as the contractual manager of all Mining contracts on site

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

• Mining Design and Drafting
• Manage internal design and planning and scheduling resources via  Mining Section Leaders
• Support the Mining design team to ensure that Mining designs are carried out in accordance with client standards and specification documentation, industry norms and the relevant legislation
• Ensure the effective review and approval of Mining design and engineering
• Develop improved work practices and ensure familiarity with new mining technologies
• Participate in  techno-economic investigations
• Provide mining inputs for mining feasibility studies
