Shop Supervisor - Mining & Construction Equipment

Description:

We are looking for a Shop Supervisor with a strong background in the heavy duty equipment repair field. The successful candidate will have a heavy duty journeyman certification, strong mechanical experience and some solid exposure to the mining, forestry and/or construction industries.

• Responsibilities will be to supervise Heavy Duty Mechanics in a continuous shift environment rotating from days to nights on a 14 on 14 off rotation.
• Also responsible for the quantity and quality of work performed within the branch, answering customer calls and dispatching work as required, reviewing service work in progress and assisting in the invoicing process.
• Must also ensure that all aspects of the safety programs are adhered to and effectively implement our customer service process and customer commitment on a daily basis.
• The ability to provide leadership and constructive team building skills to encourage positive employee contributions, and the ability to work with minimal supervision, will be considered prerequisites to a successful candidacy.
• Warranties and health and safety programs of the company will need to be fully understood and implemented.
• Must possess strong communication and customer service skills.

This position is considered a developmental position that can lead to opportunities for advancement into other branch or management roles within the company.

Camp accommodations are provided at a cost.

Compensation:

• $125,000 - $165,000/year. Choice of camp accommodations (at a nominal cost) or $1000/month housing allowance.

Shifts:

• 14 days on, 14 days off working 12 hour shifts, rotating days and nights. 7 on, 7 off shifts are also available.
