- We are seeking a self-motivated, multi-faceted Senior Environmental Compliance Manager to join our team in Houston, TX and become an integral part of our continued success story. Apex is looking for a senior level environmental seller/doer with an entrepreneurial edge to develop business, manage environmental programs, supervise staff, and through doing so, continue to expand and develop our environmental compliance consulting programs in the private sector.
Responsibilities
- This position entails the development, growth, senior technical oversight, and execution of various environmental multi-media applications including RCRA/CERCLA, NPDES/TPDES, POTW, EPCRA, TCEQ air permitting, SPCC, waste management, and other projects. Leveraging existing client relationships and building new client relationships to develop projects in Texas and surrounding areas is one of the primary responsibilities of this position. Other responsibilities include developing and implementing business strategies and management of the safe execution of all phases of project work to meet our clients’ objectives as well as company goals for revenue generation and profitability.
Qualifications
- Position requirements include 7-10 years of experience with successful development and management of various environmental compliance programs, supervising staff, and demonstrated achievements in selling environmental consulting services to private sector clientele.
- Additional requirements include BA/BS in related science or engineering field; strong written and verbal communication skills; proficiency with MS Office and Adobe; the ability to successfully multi-task; and strong safety awareness as well as a good record and understanding of safe work practices.
- Texas PE certification; an MS in a related field of study; and working knowledge of database programming and AutoCAD are preferred.
