Mining Equipment Electrician/Mechanic - Haul Trucks

Description:

Journeyman Electricians are needed ASAP to join one of Fort McMurray's highly skilled maintenance teams.

• Electricians will be working side by side with Journeyman Heavy Equipment Technicians on some of the world's largest haul trucks.
• Candidates must be familiar with mining equipment, have experience working on haul trucks and be able to work both in shop as well as in the field.
• Electricians are responsible for maintenance, alteration, repair and testing of electronic systems on large haul trucks and various pieces of mining equipment.
• Candidates should have a good understanding of AC/DC motors, electric drive, distributed control systems, programmable logic controls (PLC's) and microprocessors.
• Previous experience working in a mine or dealership setting will be considered an asset.

Compensation:

• Journeyman Pay Rate is to be determined based on experience and qualifications.
• For this role field and shift premiums are also offered along with a living allowance of $1,200/month paid bi-weekly, travel allowance, 5% RRSP match to income and 100% paid benefits by the company.

Shifts:

• 14 days on and 14 days off. 12 hours per day.
