Do you have this?

• 10 years Operations Management experience in a Steel Fabrication business where products are designed then welded and assembled to customer specifications.
• Working with multiple value streams.
• Lean Manufacturing experience.
• Procurement responsibility.
• Sound leadership, staff management and teambuilding skills.
• Strong knowledge of steel fabrication and machine shop practices.
• Understanding of work flow and constraints theories.
• High degree of resourcefulness, flexibility and adaptability
• Engineering Degree or Diploma.

Role:

• Facilitate the success of the business by providing leadership in implementing the best plant layout, systems and production equipment in order to achieve the highest quality for the lowest cost while ensuring maximum shop throughput.
• Continue the focus on the company’s formal Quality Program, Lean and other programs aimed at Continuous Improvement.
• Review Manufacturing methods.
• Develop a production schedule which optimizes plant efficiency based on customer requirements and shop constraints.
• Liaise with Engineering Manager and Customer Support Department.
• Oversee procurement ensuring timely deliveries to meet production schedule.
• Oversee performance management and compensation in compliance with corporate.
