Senior Mechanical Reliability Engineer

General Description

• Leads in developing, implementing and/or maintaining technology driven operations and maintenance programs such as Reliability Centered Maintenance, Mechanical Integrity and TPM.
• Research equipment history and perform Pareto analysis to analyze equipment failures and establish priorities for improvement.
• Maintenance Program Development
• Create equipment refurbishment plans
• Analyzes the results of PdM programs and makes recommendations for improvements.
• Develops mechanical requirements for plant shutdowns and participates in required field inspections.
• Provides liaison with production and preventive maintenance group.
• Provides support for equipment improvements and maintenance procedure upgrades.
• Recommends additional data requirements to assist production and maintenance.
• Develop Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) sheets to identify units posing excessive failure risks and support proposed changes in design.
• Maintains a safe work environment by adhering to proactive environmental, health and safety programs oriented towards maintenance activities and zero accidents.

Basic Job Requirements

• BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering with 5 to 10 years of maintenance or reliability engineering experience in an operating facility preferred.

OR

• Ten to twenty years of industrial equipment maintenance experience.•
• Computer literacy in spreadsheet (Excel) and word processing (Word) required.
• Excellent problem solving skills required.
• Polished communication and administrative skills a must.
