Environmental Project Manager
Description and Desired Qualifications

Our Environmental Project Manager careers provide you with the opportunity to lead staff, interact with clients and regulators, perform remedial design work, and help restore environmentally impaired sites . This position will offer you the ability to provide oversight and management of multiple, complex tasks (simultaneously) while also making technical contributions to your projects.
- You should be a self-motivated, team-focused professional with at least 5 years of experience including direct project experience with site remediation, managing tasks involving multiple methods of site remediation and site management/characterization; and conducting remedial investigations, feasibility studies, engineering evaluations, remedial designs/actions, or site characterization following RCRA and CERCLA guidance. You preferably hold a professional engineering license (PE) and have a desire to grow personally as well as professionally with each environmental project manager job.
Our Environmental Project Managers:
- Analyze data; prepare remedial reports, conduct feasibility studies, engineering evaluations, and cost assessments; and design and implement remedial systems and pilot studies.
- Manage remediation tasks/projects involving design, permitting, and construction of remedial systems and O&M activities.
- Interact with internal team members in the local office, as well as regional and firm-wide staff.
- Plan, staff, schedule, budget, and ensure quality of work products, consistency across projects, ensure safety of staff, and coordinate with contractors and internal support staff.
- Have day-to-day interaction with our clients and regulators, and present information and frequently participate at monthly meetings.
- Mentor and coach junior level staff.
- Lead and support safety plans.
- Serve as a technical leader for the site remediation and revitalization practice.
- Possess strong writing, verbal communication, and leadership skills.
- Manage sediment and mining-related projects.
- Attain or maintain PE license
- The successful candidate will be a part of the Redding, California-based remedial design team for the Faro Mine site, an abandoned lead and zinc mine complex in the Yukon Territory of Canada. You will work with talented sediment remediation professionals and will assist the design manager in day-to-day task management associated with the technical analysis and studies, environmental and remedial engineering, and regulatory and stakeholder consultation services.

Basic Qualifications
- BS degree (MS strongly preferred) in Environmental, Civil, or Geotechnical Engineering
- 5 years of environmental, sediment, or heavy earthwork project experience
- Experience managing projects involving multiple methods of site remediation with a focus on remedial design/remedial action and site management/characterization
- Project management skills and ability to write technical reports
- HAZWOPER certification or ability to obtain
- Must be able to plan and perform field work
- Passport or ability to obtain, for travel to Canada
