Our Environmental Siting and Licensing Associate Project Manager careers provide you with the opportunity to work on siting and licensing projects of industrial facilities with a particularly focus on energy infrastructure projects include renewable generation (wind, solar, geothermal, biomass, etc.), natural gas pipelines, electric transmission lines, and fossil fuel power plants. Each day, as an Associate Project Manager, you will be the face of [Company] with the responsibility for leading project teams in all phases of the execution and delivery of energy and utility projects. You should be a self-motivated professional with 6 years of successful experience, have a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or Planning and have a desire to grow personally as well as professionally with each environmental siting and licensing project manager job.
Our Environmental Siting and Licensing Associate Project Managers:
- Lead project teams in all phases of the execution and delivery of small to medium sized siting and licensing projects focused on power and energy facilities (both traditional and renewable), gas pipelines and electric transmission lines, as well as, assist Sr. Project Managers with large siting and licensing projects
- Develop and implement project plans and work assignments, ensure product quality, on-schedule, and on-budget completion, safety
- Demonstrate experience and a working knowledge of the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and federal permitting requirements and deliverables
- Serve as a technical resource as well as directly contribute to the technical delivery of the project deliverables
- Demonstrate technical competence and project experience in natural, cultural or socioeconomic resource fields applicable to industrial (primarily conventional or renewable energy generation/transmission) siting and licensing or environmental permitting projects
- Display attributes of a strong consultant (team player, eagerness to learn and grow, self-starter that takes initiative, versatile, and has a client service mentality)

Basic Qualifications
- B.S. Environmental Science or Engineering, Urban or Land Use Planning, or directly related discipline
- 6 years’ experience in the energy related siting and licensing process
- Demonstrated project management skills, technical background and ability for siting and licensing projects in environmental consulting
- Federal permitting programs such as the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), the Clean Water Act (CWA), the Clean Air Act (CAA), the US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) 404 wetland permitting, the US Fish & Wildlife Service or the US National Marine Fisheries Sections 7 and 10 consultations, etc.
- Exhibit excellent verbal communication skills with ability to discuss projects with clients, subcontractors, regulatory agencies, and internal team members, and in public in meetings as well as excellent writing skills by producing concise and readable documents
- Ability to travel up to 30%
Preferred Qualifications
- M.S. Environmental Science or Engineering, Urban or Land Use Planning, or directly related discipline
- 10 years’ experience in the industrial siting and licensing field
- 5 years of FERC Permitting Experience
- USACE 404 wetland permitting, Section 7 and Section 10 conformance, Clean Water Act conformance, CDFG 1603 Agreements, RWQCB and NPDES permitting
- Knowledge of SPCC plan and Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan requirements
- Experience in performing wetland delineations
- Experience with pipeline facility permitting
