Geologist

Our client is a small exploration consultancy based in Perth. Their sole remit is the identification of Gold deposits Australia wide. They area dynamic and growing company with a number of greenfield and brownfield sites already acquired with some very promised initial studies.

The client has an immediate need for Exploratory Geologists with a range of experience to work remotely in NSW on a Drive in, drive out contract. This a 10/4 roster and you can be based in Sydney or Canberra. This will be a hand's on position in identifying, exploring and developing our clients existing and proposed Gold assets.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Locate Gold extraction sites or Gold desposits
Design of large scale exploration programmes
Mapping and interpretation of collated data
Design of drilling trajectories
For this role our client has preferable specific requirements. They are as follows:
Tertiary level education or higher in a Mining related Scientific or Engineering discipline
1 - 5 years experience in an exploratory geologist role particularly on gold exploration
Experience with Log drill tips and Diamond drill cores is essential
Previous supervisory experience managing drill teams.

Benefits include:

Daily rate between $450 - 500 neg for 6 months with potential for permanency
