Jupiter Mines is a public listed mining explorer and producer currently developing strategic project opportunities in iron ore and manganese. The company has an extensive portfolio of exploration tenements in key mineral regions of Western Australia and overseas. Definitive feasibility studies are currently in progress for the company’s Central Yilgarn Iron Project (CYIP) which includes the Mt Mason DSO Hematite Project and the Mt Ida Magnetite Project. As the company’s environmental lead, the key focus of this role will involve managing the approval process for both, with an emphasis on the Mt Ida Magnetite Project. You will also be required to manage a team, currently consisting of two Environmental Officers. Other duties and responsibilities will include but not be limited to: setting scopes of work for environmental surveys; managing the tender process for environmental contracts; developing and standardising procedures to collect/collate relevant data, and interpreting the collected data effectively.
The successful candidate must have the ability and experience to assist the environmental approval process through the government regulatory bodies for project development. In order to direct and manage the company’s environmental attitude and programs you will hold tertiary qualifications in an environmental discipline with suitable and relevant professional experience within the resource sector.
