Due to business growth, our client has opened up an enviable opportunity for an experienced Senior Rock Mechanics Engineer to join their established team in Perth.

This is a great opportunity to be a part of a leading company in mining industry with major projects across Australia and overseas.

Primarily, your responsibilities with include but is not limited to:

• Leadership of project teams
• Provide consultancy on Rock Mechanics and mine design projects in Australian and overseas
• Management of open pit and/or underground mining projects
• Make decisions and recommendations in the areas of rock mechanics to clients and the mining resource group.

Ideally, you will have the following attributes:

• Tertiary qualifications in Engineering or Science and postgraduate qualification in rock mechanics or geotechnical engineering
• Excellent problem solving skills
• Demonstrated leadership skills
• Excellent report writing skills
• Several years of experience in a senior mining role
• Excellent report writing skills.

To succeed in this role, excellent communication and interpersonal skills are imperative to work effectively in a team environment. You will take part in mentoring and sharing your knowledge and skills to young professional engineers.
