Safety Officer/Advisor - 12 month contract needed urgently

Our client is a mid-top tier company winning work all over NSW and across the country. Their management approach and market knowledge are really making them a name to be recognised across the nation. Our client focuses on what’s important and that is making sustainable long term relationships with clients.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Implement OH&S, safety statistics on a weekly and monthly basis.
  • Site Toolbox meetings.
  • Implement safety statistics on a weekly and monthly basis.
  • Identifying gaps and areas of non-compliance in the safety system.
  • Liaising with the client and implement system changes.
  • Observing all the usual aspects of Safety Management, inspecting and analysing audits.
  • Ensuring safety legislation is up to Industry Standards.

The project you would initially be looking after would be a waste water treatment plant, with other such projects also lined up early 2013. You will find diversity and variety in the future.
 
Skills and Experience:
  • A Bachelors in Civil Engineering.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years' experience with waste water experience
  • Familiarity with Federal Accreditations.
  • Have technical competency with 3-5 years experience coming form a small to mid- tier.
  • Be motivated and have a commitment to safety.
  • Strong communication skills.
This is a top level project and requires the skills and ability of a Safety Advisor with the credentials to make it happen.
