Group Metallurgist

The Role  
Reporting to the VP Project Development, the Group Metallurgist will provide support for all metallurgical operations and optimisation processes at our mining operations. This includes business development and project development across our process plant facilities in Australia.  

In addition, this position will also be responsible for providing high level technical support 
and supervision in relation to design and engineering services for metallurgical engineering 
projects and feasibility studies.  
 
To be successful  
To be considered for this role you must have the ability to demonstrate experience/qualifications in the following areas:-  
  • At least 12 years’ experience in mining and mineral processing. Preferably some substantial time spent in gold.  
  • Tertiary qualifications in metallurgy engineering or similar  
  • Providing technical input into feasibility studies as well as for the development of new projects  
  • Supervising preparation of documentation for standards, procedures, safe working practices and project regimes  
  • Providing high level technical support for metallurgical work as required  
  • Act as a mentor and provide technical development for other metallurgical staff in the organisation  
  • Ability to engage and manage stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.  
  • A strong focus and adherence to safety, and continuous improvement
