Geology Manager

The Role 
Reporting to the General Manager on site we are looking for a dynamic suitably experienced individual  to  join  our Pajingo  operation  in  the  role  of  Geology  Manager.    

The  Geology Manager  is  responsible  for  the Surface and Underground geology  team at Pajingo. Direct 
reports  for  the  position will  include  the Senior Mine Geologist, Senior Resource Geologist 
and Senior Exploration Geologist. The position  is newly created and  represents a  fantastic opportunity  to  join a progressive and dynamic mid–tier miner  that will  offer  the successful applicant the chance to be part of an exciting growth focused organisation. 
 
To be Successful  
The Geology Manager must be self-motivated and a self-starter. The  incumbent must also have  the  ability  to communicate  effectively  with  persons  in  all  levels  of  the  organisation. 
Leadership  and mentoring  is  considered  to  be  of  the  highest  importance  with  effectively filling  this  role.    All work  must  be  completed  to  a  high  standard  and  incorporate  sound geological practice. Being a lateral thinker and is always looking for a better way to do things is crucial to the position. 
 
The Geology Manager must have the following experience; 

• At  least  10    to  12  years’  experience  at  operating mine  sites with  a minimum  of  5 years associated with underground mining, 
• Exposure to narrow vein gold is essential, 
• A proven track record in a similar role on a mine or with a consulting group,  
• Ability  to  conduct  JORC  code  reporting  of  reserves  and  resources  relevant  to  the style of mineralisation and type of deposit at Pajingo, 
• Advanced  user  of  one  of  the  planning  /  geological  modelling  software  packages. 
• Exposure to Vulcan or Surpac mining software would be well regarded.
