Mine Surveyor

The Role 
The primary function of the Mine Surveyor is to support the Technical Services Team to develop, maintain, and certify mine plans to requirements of the legislation. 
 
To be successful     
To be considered for this role you must have the ability to demonstrate experience/qualifications in the following areas:- 
  • Maintain a sound understanding of the legislation and HSE System requirements as they apply to the role. 
  • Assist the Senior Surveyor to prepare, maintain and certify mine plans as required by the mining and Quarry Safety and Health ACT (1999) and Regulations (2001). 
  • Assist the Senior Surveyor to ensure the Mine Void Model is maintained. 
  • Maintain and validate survey database. 
  • Maintain and calibrate survey equipment as required. 
  • At  least 3  years’ experience at operating mine  sites with a minimum of  1 year associated with underground mining. 
  • Must be degree or equivalent qualified surveyor. 
All underground survey, including, but not limited to 
  • Survey mark-up of Planned development 
  • Planned drilling 
  • Planned Diamond Drilling 
Assist with surface survey, including but not limited t
  • Stockpile and dump pickups 
  • Surface excavation pickups. 
  • Surface prism monitoring
