Environment Officer

The Role 
Reporting  to  the  Senior  Environmental  Officer,  you  will  be  responsible  for maintaining  compliance  with legislative  requirements  through  coordinating, monitoring and reporting on environmental management activities. Liaising with and developing effective relationships with employees, external organizations, the 
community, government agencies, neighboring landholders and traditional owners.  
 
To be successful    
To be considered for this role you must have the ability to demonstrate experience/qualifications in the following areas:-  
  • A degree in Environmental Science or equivalent;  
  • Previous experience in mining desirable; 
  • Demonstrated experience in maintaining and supporting an environmental management systems; 
  • Assisting with technical advice to mine environmental issues; 
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret legislation, government standards and agreements and assist with meeting compliance requirements; 
  • High quality work output through monitoring and auditing; 
  • A proven commitment to safety in the workplace;
